About The Legacy

About The Legacy

It all started in a small town outside of Lansing Michigan in 1979 when an opportunity was available to work as a DJ at a small collage Radio station playing Album Oriented Rock.  From there the dream was born to DJ a Progressive Rock station.  But many obstacles developed from being legally Blind, having two sleep disorders and a closed minded Mother who thought being a DJ was silly nonsense.   So unknown to me a twisted plan was set between my Mom and a teacher of mine to Wisk me away to a place for handicapped adults to learn a trait in which she thought was appropriate for her son.  But the music never died in my heart and 30 years later on my own in a home in Elizabeth City,NC I purchased with my fiancé I’m living that very dream born 30 years ago as a DJ of my very own internet Radio station.

The Mission

We at The Legacy hope to reach areas that are bound by the shackles of Top40 and Rap Radio every since 1984 when MTV was sued for not playing Rap music and after that event Rap and Top40 Radio took over most of commercial Radio.  We plan to continue the 70s attitude where more than one song is played by talented artists but featuring multi tracks from their music catalogue.  There will be some hurtles.  Expense being one major factor as I'm a one man operation and has a fixed income being on disibility.  Also we need you listeners to spread the word via social networks, dating sites (if your single) and word of mouth.

If you'd like to donate

please call the Rockline (252)-506-9299 and we can tell you how this can be achieved.  We thank you for your sponsorship and as always we thank all of our loyal listeners of The Legacy.
